Mini Session | Jack & Molly Do Karate

Mini sessions are awesome: short time commitment, few simple but great images and best of us cost effective!! Yet, most people do not understand exactly what a mini session is. Mini sessions are meant to highlight a feature in your life. For example, mini sessions are great when your child is starting a new sport, entering Kindergarten or losing all his teeth! All of these moments are the little things in life you really want documented but you don't need to display everywhere.

I wanted to share a recent mini session with you. For this session I kicked mom & dad out and let the kids shine for a few minutes.

Meet Miss Molly. She is energetic, funny and just a little bit dramatic.

She just started Karate and wanted to show off her skills.

The look of success on her face when she finally nails her punches is so adorable.

Molly also has been learning to block and kick.

But mom & dad's favorite part of Karate is that Molly is learning to use her manor words.

Why is it that everything is cuter in smaller sizes?! Somehow I don't think I could rock this & look quite as adorable as Molly does.

Meet Mister Jack. He is inquisitive, sensitive and loves to cuddle.

Karate has served an entirely different purpose for Jack. He's been bullied a little bit in school because everyone is intimidated by the smart kid! Karate is giving him confidence and sounds super cool to the other kids.

Jack has a pretty impressive kick! Better watch out mean boys.

His Karate coach checks in with his teacher at school to make sure his behavior is polite and controlled everywhere.

Despite the 4 year age difference, Karate is something that Jack & Molly can do together.

Thanks for being such great sports Jack & Molly, kick some butt!

Baby Natalie @ 5 Days New

Meet sweet little Natalie. Not only did she have perfect, creamy skin but the best disposition. She was a photographer's dream!

Natalie arrived asleep and stayed that way for most of the session, posing like a champ.

She even managed to give a few adorable little grins.

Her mom brought in several unique props to use during her session, my favorite was this hippo hat!

Little miss Natalie was gifted a gold bracelet so she made sure to show that off in a few pictures.

Check out all of Natalie's tiny parts. There isn't much sweeter than tiny fingers and tiny toes.

Check out that beautiful necklace that Natalie's daddy bought her mommy complete with her birthstone, Emerald. & that awesome blanket that her aunt made her.

Check out that toothless grin Natalie gave me in the photo above.

The only time we saw her eyes during the whole session was with her sweet mommy.

I just love how Natalie is holding her daddy's face in the last photo.

I couldn't be more excited for this adorable and oh so sweet new family of 3! Can't wait to watch miss Natalie grow.

Nolan's Lifestyle Newborn Session @ 3 Weeks Old

Nolan's parents contacted me after their scheduled photographer cancelled on them, twice! Nolan had to stay a week in the hospital because he was premature so it was important that we schedule a session soon before he lost his adorable newborn appearance. We decided to do an in home, lifestyle session two days later.

Meet baby Nolan. How adorable is he?! As you can tell he has both his mom and dad wrapped around all 10 little fingers already, as he should.

Nolan's mom has perfected the baby rock to soothe him. & she has found a classical music tune that keeps him calm.

Adjusting to life with a newborn can be tiring and full of sleepless nights. Yet, when you look at such a sweet face you instantly know it's all worth it. You would do it all again.

Look at those tiny toes, strong grip and puckered lips.

Nolan's nursery has an adorable nautical theme with little sailboats adorning the walls and crib. Ohh and check out those baby blues!

Baby Nolan cooperated like a champ through our whole session but he especially like being cozy in the basket.

Look at those sweet little expressions.

These are probably some of my favorite family pictures from the day. Nolan & his dad look handsome and his mom is glowing beautifully!

Nolan's dad plays guitar so we introduced him a little young. Clearly shown by his smile, you can tell he approves.

During the session if Nolan started to fuss, his puppy would whine. Poor thing was so excited and anxious about all the new changes going on. Nothing but love and licks for baby brother once he was let loose.

Lifestyle sessions are special because they give a glimpse inside of everyday family life & I just love that.

Nolan, I hope you go easy on your new parents and start sleeping through the night asap!

So much love between these 3. I can't wait to watch sweet little Nolan grow.

Congratulations Pfeiffer family!!!
